Exciting News for East Greenbush!
The 2025 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree has been chosen from right here in the Town of East Greenbush, NY! The magnificent tree will be cut on Thursday, November 6th at 8:00AM, at 60 Old Red Mill Road, and the public is invited to witness this once-in-a-lifetime event.
Please note that upper Old Red Mill Road will be closed to all vehicle traffic except for residents starting at 5:00 AM and will remain closed until the tree begins its majestic journey to New York City. Parking for spectators will be available along the east side of Temple Lane and in the lower parking lot of the Rensselaer County Office Building located at 99 Troy Road.
For everyone’s safety, please use caution when crossing State Route 151 and follow all directions from law enforcement on scene.
A few hours after the cutting, the tree will be escorted from Old Red Mill Road, traveling South on State Route 4, then will head East on State Route 9 & 20, before entering I-90 at Exit 10 on its way to New York City.
