I recently worked on my own water heater and was shocked at how much the anode rod had deteriorated and how many sediments had built up in just 2.5 years. With the hard water we have here in Middle Tennessee, this happens quickly, but replacing the anode rod and clearing out the sediment can make a big difference. It’s a simple way to extend the life of your water heater, keep it running efficiently, and avoid costly repairs or replacement. (photos are of old and new rod)
If anyone needs help with this, any repairs or your to-do lists, feel free to reach out! I’d be happy to assist—it’s $200 for the water heater maintenance, including parts and labor, and I’m always here to chat about other projects too, big or small.
