We had this super fun project in the hood over the last 9 months. Originally a late 1800’s barn that had been a duplex for the last few decades. Fun to see the demoed state and how the original floor had been worn down by livestock.

As a new year is upon us, I reflect on the year that has passed. We had some wonderful projects and fabulous clients. Hope to share pictures soon, when time allows, lol! We built a fabulous garage/studio, had 2 pop tops, a 2900 sf addition, a basement finish for a longtime customer, and numerous smaller projects in the mix. We hit a pretty cool milestone that I guess I never even thought about.
2022 is full of a whole new list of great opportunities. We just started another basement finish, and a large garage, and we will remodel the front of the house from last years large addition. Also excited to blow up this house on San Miguel into a $1.2mil, and we’ll build a 2bd, 1bath, 2 story apartment. Numerous other small projects to fill in the holes when time allows.
Again I must thank the team of subcontractors and Noah Johnson aka Wise, that never let me down as they are my success. We have a lot of fun and it shows when the work is complete. This makes me very happy and proud.
The only sad part about this post is that we are unable to take on anymore work for 2022. At the same time we are currently working with clients who are willing to wait to be scheduled in 2023. The designing, engineering, and permit processes can take quite a bit of time.

Looks like a little relief in the forecast. I feel bad for our clients project being completed now. Lumber costs added $5000 to our original quote. We don’t add a % to these additional costs since it does not create anymore work for us.

Lumber price spike has added more pressure to home renovation and new home costs.
