The Grace Gardens Winter Market Collection is here! These will all be available this Saturday, December 2, at Vintage Barn Market in beautiful Peaceful Valley from 10am-2pm!

It’s the last market of 2023, and a perfect opportunity to support local, small businesses! So many gift items & cozy treats to find 🩷

I can’t wait to bring these along to the Winter Market @ Vintage Barn Market in December!

The oil used in this healing salve has been infused with organically grown (right in Grace Gardens!) Calendula flowers for over 6 weeks, then transformed with other healing ingredients like Lavender & Olive Oil for a nourishing skin barrier & soother.

Grace Gardens was on the move this weekend! I was able to experience the beautiful National Botanic Gardens in Washington DC & it was glorious! So many inspiring combinations & textures- the compositions of colors & flowers were stunning!

‘Phototropism’
the orientation of a plant or other organism in response to light, either toward the source of light ( positive phototropism ) or away from it ( negative phototropism ).

Did you know that you can see this happening in the garden? Sunflowers in particular are famous for this - a reminder for us all to keep leaning to the Light ☀️

Harvesting Lavender & Calendula for infused body oils & other body care items has begun-

This is no quick process! Harvesting the carefully stewarded blooms for weeks (organic & chemical free!), staggering their drying times which takes approx 3-4 weeks, infusing them in oils which takes a minimum of 6 weeks, and then processing them into body care items for you begins long before Winter Market & the Holidays.

Planning ahead for what comes next is continual. In the Winter, you’re planning for Spring/Summer/Fall, in the Summer you’re planning for Winter - it’s always full circle, and my brain is always weeks & weeks ahead

I can’t wait to share with you what I’ve been ‘cooking’ up for this year’s Winter Market - it’s going to be so so good ♥️

From Building a Butterfly Garden:

These shallow dishes with small pebbles, glass beads & rocks are perfect to put in the gardens for butterflies & bees to drink from! The small pebbles help them drink without getting their wings wet, and help them crawl to safety if they do land awkwardly in the water- the dishes were found at a dollar general & compliment the garden beautifully! Keeping them filled during the hot days is so important to give our pollinators a refreshing break!

I love when you share with me how you’re using your botanical goods from my collections! These wooden top jars are beautiful for so many uses, especially sourdough! (Thanks, Kelly!)

This growing season has sure started off in a unique way! We have had so much rain here in Colorado Springs, cooler temps and much less sunshine than we are used to in the early summer months. All very unusual for our normally dry, sunshine filled days!
is pretty behind from this point compared to last year, but when I walked the gardens this week, I discovered this happy calendula blooming away! Joy!

The years always differ from each other - and there’s always challenges & learning opportunities to be had- but soon there will be beds full of beautiful blooms & color! Even if they are a little ‘late’ 💐🌟💐
