Thank you Heidrich's Colorado Tree Farm Nursery for the great Spring gardening tips!! Forecast is calling for near 70* weather almost all week. Be patient, your garden will appreciate it!!!

We know the urge to rake, clear, and tidy the garden is strong this time of year — but early March is still a little soon for heavy clean-up.
Many beneficial pollinators spend the winter hibernating in leaf litter, hollow stems, and garden debris. These natural materials provide insulation and protection while they wait for warmer temperatures to return.
If we remove that layer too soon, we may unintentionally disturb the insects that help pollinate our gardens all season long.
So for now, it’s best to leave those leaves and ground debris in place just a little longer. More spring garden clean-up tips are on the way as temperatures continue to warm!
