Here’s the bulk of the phoenix project, the windows. The removal of the old aluminum windows trough the stucco was a bit of a challenge. The 10 windows turned out pretty decent. The big ones (60”x108, and 60x96) were a bit of a headache. But my handy helper really came in handy. The new windows are low-e vinyl windows. Thank you so much for having me out to help you with your window and such project. The 100 degree heat in March wasn’t awesome, was super happy to get home to 60’s.

Spent the last 2 weeks out in Phoenix working for some pretty great people. They had me redo their windows, toilets, master bedroom flooring, barn door and a ceiling fan. This set of pics was the last window and a little bit of a challenge. I needed to make sure the framing was correct to accommodate the new window. So I decided to cut out the drywall (easier to put back) to check it out. Once verified, it was a go to cut out the old window through the stucco and install the new one. The result turned out pretty sweet. I cased the inside of the window with PVC trim. Really turned out nice!

Here it is. The completed project of this monster dumpster fire of a condo. This project just blew up all over the place. But, it’s finally over. Let’s see. After the HAZMAT cleanup, I primed it 3 times and painted it twice. Removed all the old layers of flooring, coated the subfloors and installed new LVP (luxury vinyl plank). Next, installed all new base trim. The new kitchen (cabinets and appliances and countertops) really turned out nice. Brand new carpeting on the stairs. All new flooring upstairs and paint. Swapped out a couple of the doors and finally, the bathroom. The bathroom got all new subfloor and floor support to cover the new drain lines for shower/tub and toilet. The new shower system was a huge upgrade to what was there. Lastly, the entry door was also replaced. I am proud to say that the evil that lived in this house has moved on. Whew! This was a major overhaul and one happy client. This project was 3 of 4. Starting the 4th now.

My latest bathroom overhaul. Complete tub and shower (new tile with a completely waterproof backing). New toilet, flooring, tile trim, new vanity and mirrors and lights. Painting too. Really turned out fantastic. The homeowners are just elated with how their vision became a reality.

This was a pretty fun little two day upgrade. Swapped out a shower pan for a bathtub and installed new tub surround. Two day transformation, super happy clients and just in time for a new arrival to their family.

Here is a fun project. Before I can start on my latest project (condo renovation) I had to vacuum the previous tenants debris with a shovel and a hazmat suit. 40 yards of debris later (that’s the size of the dumpster I filled), and after I had a cleaning company come in (Clean interiors of Colorado) and disinfect. I can now remove what I am supposed to replace. This one is gross. It took me 4 days.

Completed this little bathroom update. What was the before? Good question, I didn’t take a before pic. So, imagination hats on, the client had removed the wallpaper, and tested paint colors…2 years ago. Was going to get to it, decided to have me do it. Boom! Drywall skim coated after all the issues were repaired. New toilet, new vanity, walls primed and painted AND new PVC wainscoting. Oh what a beautiful transformation and a super delighted client. (Post edited, I did have before pics. Added to the backside, so after then before)

Well, this post is kind of a let down. This project was an interesting one as it was a repair from a sewage backup where the drywall was removed, the flooring was removed, most of the carpet was removed, etc. I got to go in at night (clients were out of the house) and put it all back together. I did new flooring in the basement (not pictured, bummer), all new trim. All new texture, paint and drywall. The client had a new baby as well and couldn’t have the fumes from the wood finish so he opted to do it himself. I neglected to take final pictures, but you can see how cool the steps turned out. There were two sets of 6 all oaked out.

This bathroom off a garage entry in this home was laminate flooring. The washing machine was leaking and ruined the floor. Well, I ripped out the damaged flooring, cleaned up any mold that was present, and installed a new LVP (luxury vinyl plank) floor. This floor extended past the bathroom into the hallway to the door to the garage. Real nice change to have a new floor.

Completed this little dining room update. Removed the old brass fixture. Then the real work began, assembling the deer antler chandelier. Next, I had to fabricate a mounting bracket to mount it. Looks pretty cool in this dining space.
