Calling all hop-heads and garden enthusiasts!!
The days are getting longer and the soil is starting to warm up, which means it's time to start talking HOPS! Drew, Jeff, and Andy made their way out to the hops yard this morning to check on progress and harvest rhizomes, and they're excited to get these hop-lings into your hands!
For those of you interested in participating in our little hop-growing community experiment, we have two important dates to get on your calendars:
Hop Yard Volunteer Work Day - May 15 @ 8:30 am
Join our hop-cropping team for some Saturday morning work in the dirt! We'll be digging rhizomes, cutting back last year's leftover bines, prepping our trellising system, and enjoying a few garden beers while we're at it. Message us or send an email to [email protected] for location and specifics.
Hopcropping COS "Hoppy Hour" - May 19 @ 5:00
This will be our first get together of the 2021 growing season! Hang out in the Local Relic Artisan Ales beer garden with other folks in the area who are interested in growing hops while sharing secrets for successful cultivation on the Front Range. You can even pick up a free rhizome or two. All experience levels welcome.
We can't wait to start growing this community - and these hops - in just a few weeks!
