Currently underway: a full-trowel glue-down installation of 7.5” engineered hardwood flooring in Spokane, WA.

Unlike floating floor installations, a full-spread glue-down system bonds each plank directly to the subfloor, helping reduce movement, minimize hollow sounds underfoot, and create a more solid feel throughout the home.

This project features wide-plank engineered hardwood, which is often a great option when clients want the beauty of real wood while maintaining dimensional stability.

Looking forward to sharing the finished results once installation is complete.

From worn carpet to timeless hardwood ✨

This full-service bedroom renovation started with complete demo—removing existing carpet, pad, and tack strip—followed by detailed subfloor prep to ensure a flawless foundation. We sanded plywood seams, applied a liquid moisture barrier, and prepared the space the right way (because what’s underneath matters just as much as what you see).

The finished result: prefinished Stonewood “Bow Valley Oak” featuring a wire-brushed texture and Duramatt finish—bringing warmth, durability, and a clean, modern natural look to the space.

We wrapped it up by resetting the base trim for a seamless, finished appearance 👌

This client loved the character of their floors—the patina, the history, the story in the wood—so a full sand wasn’t the goal.

Instead, we chose a screen & recoat to restore the finish while preserving what makes these floors unique.

You’ll notice the sheen is brought back…

These original hardwood floors in Libby, Montana had seen generations of wear, tear, and everyday life. Instead of replacing them, we restored what was already there—uncovering the natural beauty that’s been hiding all along.
There’s something special about preserving history like this. You just can’t replicate it.

New project, new week 👊

We’re kicking things off in Kalispell, MT with a prefinished hickory refinishing project. Hickory is one of the toughest domestic hardwoods out there, which means extra prep, patience, and precision to get it right—but that’s exactly where we shine.

Stripping off the factory finish, flattening things out, and getting these floors prepped for a fresh new life using our Hummel drum sander for consistent, dead-flat results. Can’t wait to share the transformation as this one comes together.

This project was a full revival of 827 sq. ft. of circle-sawn fir hardwood, plus stained stair treads. We created a custom stain blend using ‘s
Jacobean + White Oak, then finished everything with 3 coats of their commercial-grade CeramicStar in matte for a durable, silky-smooth finish.

From rough, worn, and deeply scratched ➝ smooth, luxurious, and revived.✨
