this is the tastiest red pepper I've ever eaten - so much flavor! I've heard it said that after tasting this pepper, people find store bought peppers to taste like water.... and yeah, they're right. fun fact, this variety is actually a couple hundred years old.

I'm very excited to announce this new addition to the plant stand—and the reason for our name! Blaise is selling seeds that he saved, counted, and packed himself. (It made for the perfect math lesson, too.) In fact, our new name is his own idea. Originally, he wanted to call his seed business "Apple Seeds," but I told him that might be a bit confusing since he doesn't have any apple seeds to sell 😆 He is, however, selling Sweet Dumpling squash seeds, as well as Waltham Butternut squash seeds.

He will be selling seed packets of 10 seeds for $1 each. If you'd like to purchase some seeds, please let me know so he can talk to you about buying his seeds! We can mail them to you as well.

These plants do best started outdoors once temperatures reach 60º, so there's plenty of time to get your order in 🙂

First sprouts of the season, coming in hot. No really, they're hot peppers. 😅🌶

Hard to believe I actually got to begin this tray outdoors this year. Usually I find the process of starting seeds so life giving in the dead of winter. It's a sliver of hope, the promise that warm weather and sunshine are on the horizon. The smell of dirt and the first signs of green right in your kitchen really do your soul good, after the weeks of bleak and gray and dark.
