After a difficult week dealing with the parts of life everyone experiences but nobody enjoys, I received pictures this evening from clients/friends of our trees that now live with them. The dawn redwood pic is showing the crop of cones this year which is often hit or miss, while the bottlebrush pic shows the variability of seed grown plants with one in flower and the other not yet. I then received the mower-tree update on some small trees planted a few years ago that are exceeding expectations for how well they have grown. I love it when the time enjoying trees is shared with me!

This morning we completed a “cottage” garden for our friend Helen. There are 22 different plants in this small space, including lots of natives for the butterflies and other critters. We look forward to seeing it fill in this season and providing lots of color for her!

Quick rustic garden path with steps today. We used existing penry limestone and added Oklahoma flagstone. This was a wonderful property to work on and we enjoyed seeing (and hearing!) the dozens of mini donkeys that live here and were able to witness a bald eagle fishing in the farm pond. Some places are way better than others!
