This little thrifted nightstand has come a long way.

From sanding and priming to hand-cast book spines, antiquing, and finishing details, every step was worth it. I wanted it to feel like a collected piece from an old library, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

Definitely one of my favorite makeovers yet. 📚🤎✨

This little $15 thrifted nightstand has been getting a complete transformation with handmade castings, lots of sanding, plenty of glue, and a design that has me more excited with every step.

I’m not quite ready to show the finished piece yet, but here’s a sneak peek at what I’ve been up to. 📚✨

One project finished… and already dreaming about the next one. ☺️

This thrifted trunk makeover officially found its home in our upstairs guest room/craft room, and I honestly couldn’t love it more. The soft vintage colors, meaningful little details, and cozy collected feel turned out exactly how I hoped.

And now… this little nightstand is up next. 👀

I already know the IOD Bookish Mould is calling my name for this makeover, and I can’t stop imagining vintage-inspired book details, warm aged finishes, and all the cozy cottage charm.

Sometimes a room comes together one meaningful piece at a time. 🤍

Sometimes the best projects take a little longer than planned… 🤍

Between everyday life, and changing directions more than once, this little thrifted trunk slowly became one of my favorite projects I’ve ever done.

✨ Thrifted trunk makeover✨ Hand painted in soft cottage-inspired tones✨ Vintage-inspired hardware finish✨ Functional storage for our guest room/craft room✨ And one very meaningful detail… the number 10 for our family ❤️

I wanted this piece to feel welcoming, collected, useful, and personal — like it had always belonged here.

And now it finally does. ☺️

I’m finally starting to see the vision come together.

✨ Switched the base from Driftwood to Drop Cloth
✨ Skeleton Key blue/gray on the lid
✨ Hardware painted black with bronze detailing
✨ Still to come: sealing, antiquing, and one meaningful final detail for our family ❤️

I wanted this piece to feel soft, welcoming, collected, cozy and functional for our upstairs guest room/craft room.

And I think we’re finally getting there. ☺️
