Decided the wall behind our stove needed a custom touch. Southern Ledgestone Chardonnay laid with a joint and grouted with cream colored mortar. Still have to add the lighting above but the hard part is finished, now on to the rest of the kitchen

Firepit with stainless gas insert, Centurion Kentucky/Pennsylvania Ledgestone blend on the sides and capped with 3" Tennessee Crab Orchard flagstone.

Still have a few things to touch up and need to get some pics in the daylight, but youll have to live with this for now....

Still have a few things to touch up and need to get some pics in the daylight, but youll have to live with this for now. Was a stone porch originally but it was done with the velvet grey veneer stones that were used on the foundation and profiles of the home. Re-capped it with crab orchard with a chipped edge and re grouted the face of the steps.

Finished project: Mountain Mist flagstone firepit with natural slate accent border. Capped with mountain mist and used natural edge. Customer opted out on using firebrick but i do offer it in my firepits. Projects like this range in price from $1000-$2000 depending on the design Stone type and size but that price is materials and labor from bare ground to firepit

Sorry for slacking the past couple weeks, things have been a bit hectic here at Harwoods Stone Masonry. Between people not showing up for work, lying contractors and my new F350 breaking down.....twice.....Ive been doing the best I could just getting the jobs finished. Here are some that Ive done in the past couple weeks.
First three pics are on the same home.
[1] Front steps done earlier this year. Grey Tenn crab orchard flagstone
[2]Hearth done in dining room/kitchen. When you switch to or start out with a gas setup you can do flagstone on the entire area. Still need to finish grouting
[3]Steps into new addition leads into dining room/kitchen area were the hearth in [2] is located
[4-5] Firepit underconstruction at the moment. Should have some finished pics soon. 40"x40"x20" plus the stone on veneer and cap. Mojave Flagstone with slate accent.bbbb;bbbbbbbb;?
[6-7]Back porch remodel in Mt.Ulla. Stone came from local stone manufacturer, Old Southern Stone. This was a custom blend my customer had made for him.
I have more projects in the works and im going to try to be better about posting more pics and updates. Thanks for looking

Fieldstone fireplace veneer with Tennessee Crab Orchard hearth and Poplar mantel. Framed out 6" so blue flame propane heater can be installed inside. Sheeted with durarock and full skim coat. Man made custom blend fieldstone from StoneMasters and 1.5" thin stack Tennessee crab orchard with natural edge exposed 1" overhang. Custom cut crab orchard border above heater opening. Hand jointed and brushed joints on veneer and sponge washed joints on the hearth. Used 3/4" Poplar boards to create a faux mantel and premade brackets from lowes. Fireplace measures 5'10" wide by 4'4" tall including 4" raised hearth. Thanks for looking

New week and new jobs on the books. Ill be starting a 5x5x5 platform at the Renaissance Festival entrance for a bronze statue to be mounted on, should have it finished in a few days. Stay tuned for pics this evening. Also starting a 170sqft natural drystack on a house in badin this week that im pretty excited about.
