Do you close the door to unused rooms to avoid paying to heat them?
If you do, you're losing money each winter. When you close off an interior room, or if you close the air vents in that room, your heating system has to work harder and can even break down as a result.
The reason? The HVAC system is designed to keep the whole house comfortable by distributing heat evenly throughout. By closing off a room or a duct, you reduce the airflow to that room and force your system to work harder to heat it up. That can cause a pressure imbalance, damaging your ducts or heating system.

Hey y'all. This is a word you need to spread.

Is it going to snow tonight? Sure. Some along and north of I-40 could see 1-2 inches. Others, a dusting to half inch. But that's not the story here.

Many have never experienced temperatures and wind chills like we're going to see Friday morning. It's nothing to mess around with. Stay in, if you can. If you *have* to be outside, do it in short bursts and cover up skin! can occur in 15-20 minutes.

Jackets, gloves, hats and a blanket in the car if you have to travel!
