A Note from Mrs. Handyman:
Many of you probably know that for about a month now, Allen hasn’t been working due to my most recent health issues. On December 17, I had a heart ablation at Cleveland Clinic and have been recovering since that time with a few other bumps in the road. Things could have been much worse, but our God is good. I could give you countless examples of how He took care of us this past month, and I’m sure there are many things He did for us that we didn’t even realize.
We want to thank our family for being there for us, and we want to thank Ashley Smith and her family for helping with Rambo. Finally, we want to thank the local churches and everyone else for their prayers, gifts, texts, and cards during this time. As I said, God is good!
Both Allen and I have had health issues during the past year and a half that have kept him from working for long periods of time. We hope 2026 will be a better year for us health wise. I think I am on the mend, and Allen has quite a list that he needs to get to soon. He will be calling customers beginning today to set up times to complete those jobs barring any other issues.
Working for yourself has its advantages in times like these, but also its disadvantages. We are so grateful that most of our customers have been willing to wait on him when needed. We are blessed to live in a small community where neighbors are willing to help neighbors.

An update from Mrs. Handyman:

Joy of joys! Allen is ready to adorn his tool bag once again! He will see the doctor this week and physical therapy is ready to release him. He has made great progress and isn't totally 100% yet, but he will be scheduling jobs soon. With the holidays (and a wedding anniversary 😜) quickly approaching, he may try to squeeze in a few smaller jobs, but he will most likely be back full time in January.
If you are already on the list, please expect a call from him before the end of December. If you do not receive a call and are expecting one, please message or call us. If you would like to get on the list, just call or message also. A picture of his business card is at the top of this page. Mrs. Handyman also has to get her name on the list for some jobs she would like done!
Thank you all for your patience, prayers, and well wishes during these three months of recovery. We truly appreciate all of you! Have a Merry Christmas and a blessed 2025, everyone!

AN UPDATE FROM MRS. HANDYMAN:
Allen had shoulder surgery approximately six weeks ago. He is doing well and, surprisingly, is really behaving! He has been going to physical therapy for about three weeks and is doing more each week. He hopes to be able to move his arm without assistance next week.
He has had some calls during his time off and is telling everyone he hopes to be back to work in January. If you are on his list, he will probably be calling you soon to talk about scheduling your project(s). If you want to get on the list, give him a call.

Message from Mrs. Handyman:
Allen had shoulder surgery this week. He is doing well, although he is not supposed to raise his left arm above his chest or do any lifting with it. These restrictions will be in place for several weeks with physical therapy starting around the first of November.
Those who know him realize that he is constantly on the go, and he is going to have to tone it down a bit. 🙂 He hopes to be back to work the first of the year with some light restrictions.
We appreciate all of the well wishes and prayers. Thanks for your support of our small business. He is doing what he loves. God bless!

From the Handyman: I will be having surgery in a few weeks on my shoulder, so I will not be working again until probably December or January. If you have projects you would like to have done that can wait until after the first of the year, let me know and I'll get you on the schedule. Thanks so much, everyone, for your support over the past years!
