A few months back we started the year long process of training our LGD to protect our chickens. Our mantra is " Chickens are friends, not food." It took us some time to get here, but Drax has graduated to being outside on a leash while the chickens are free ranging. I still keep ahold of the leash for the chickens safety, but usually after a few minutes he just lays down and watches them with me.
