Have you ever wondered why in America tomatoes are considered a vegetable (they are in fact fruits)?
In 1893, justices had dictionaries rewritten to decree tomatoes as vegetables. This protected American farmers from out of season competition that the were receiving from Caribbean growers who had no issue growing tomatoes during the winter as a result of the Tariff Act of March 3, 1883.

Garden Winners,

We are back with another garden hack. We like to combine radish and carrot seeds in a herb shaker! We shake this bad boy anywhere we have an open space. The radishes will be ready much sooner than the carrots. When you pull the radishes, you will provide more room for the carrots. Likewise, the whole process will help aerate the soul of that open space!
