I’m so sorry I haven’t been posting content as much as I usually do. I pre-made 300 kits this spring so I wouldn’t be playing catch-up all season. Well those all sold in the first weekend 😬 you friends are truly amazing🥰 We are sold out of the first generation kits. But the first generation Monarchs have been busy laying the second generation eggs for all of you! Kits will be back in stock starting this weekend! I’ll update you with locations upon delivery to each location! I want to thank everyone of you for the continued support of helping the Monarchs and all pollinators appreciate you as well for giving them lots to eat!

WHAT TO EXPECT 🐛-->🦋 WHEN EXPECTING:

🐛 After purchasing your kit, it’s common not to see your caterpillars for up to 4-5 days. (they are extremely tiny)

🐛 Caterpillars will go through 4 molting stages on their journey to becoming a butterfly. (these are called instars. this process can take 10-20 days).

🚨 DISCLAIMER 🚨 During the molting process, caterpillars may appear dead. They are not. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH THEM!

🐛 When your caterpillar reaches its 5th instar stage, it will begin to rapidly eat your plant to the stalk. (don’t freak out -- this is normal)

🐛 When there are no more leaves, your caterpillars will roam around the enclosure, looking for a suitable place to form their chrysalis.

🐛 While they prepare to form their chrysalis, they will hang upside down in a “J” formation for up to 24 hours. (they will appear almost lifeless -- this is completely normal behavior)

🐛 During this 24 hours, their skin will split open and fall to the bottom of the enclosure. The chrysalis will emerge.

🐛 The chrysalis can take up to 10-14 days to hatch.

🦋 Once your butterflies hatch, please allow 1-2 hours for the butterfly to completely dry their wings before releasing.

🦋 To release your butterflies, place the enclosure outside and simply remove the netting.

If you have purchased a kit from me or one of the locations that I sell at and you either run out of plants to feed your caterpillars or your caterpillars have died for any reason. I wanted everyone to know I offer a free exchange. I will replace your plant or caterpillars for free if you message me directly and let me know what is going on with your kit. I want everyone to experience the whole process and I can’t not predict Mother Nature so if anything is wrong with your kit please feel free to message me so we can take care of you! This usually does not happen but some caterpillars eat more than others and some just don’t make it! But I want everyone to enjoy their kits so please reach out if you believe your caterpillars are running out of food or if they have disappeared or died. My goal is to make everyone who purchased as happy as possible so you will want to help the monarchs every year by planting more milkweed! Thank you all for the continued support in helping the monarchs thrive!

Collectively we helped so many Monarchs last year and in return we didn’t just help them, We helped all pollinators and our environments. So to give back to you and to reach my goal of helping The Monarchs even more this season. I’ll be running a giveaway until the kits are ready for caterpillars!
