I can't find any of the before pics in my photos, but this was an orangy stained piece. After cleaning and sanding, I used household bleach to achieve this natural look. The dresser and nightstand marinated in multiple layers of bleach in the Texas triple digit heat for hours and this is the result. The dowels were split with my table saw and added on the top dressers. Both pieces were cleaned and sanded after the bleach application. The final step was sealing and adding the original hardware to the dresser, and Crate and Barrel hardware to the nightstand.

REVEAL … Makers Mark Challenge Project Completed. This old school Silvertone Radio (probably sold at Sears) is now a modernized bar for home entertaining. The Makers Mark Challenge category I accepted is Metallica, the entire body is painted in gold to make it shimmer. Let me know what you think of the final results. ❤️
