This week we are starting a brand new deck build, a new wood porch railing and a screened in porch to give the feel of southern grace. Old concrete walks were removed with tall concrete steps that were hard to navigate. A new Trex deck will be installed with wide stair tread and 5” maximum height. The screened in porch will have 1x4 to match the new porch railing but it will be double sided with a gap and the screen sandwiched between the layers.

Blast from the past. 25 yr old fence, baseboard is gone but the posts, rails and pickets are all straight and look great.

Time for some PM to give it another 25 years.

Good Turn for today.

A client was referred to us by the mfg and was wanting a mercury board for an older Apollo operator, He has an older 835 board and they said that would replace it. I countered the part request and asked him to send pictures that are attached. I offered a Patriot 1 board since that will be a plug and play.

It turned out that the gate would open and close but the buttons on the box but not from the car or remotes, I told ward to check the receiver, light came on when program button was pressed and later when he pressed a remote the gate worked. He did have to set the sensitivity for less since another gate person had touched it the day before. Told him to check the wires from board to the receiver because the copper wires break sometimes.

Gate works fine now, no board needed, no receiver needed and no trip needed just a CGAT on the phone.

We completed an extensive perimeter security solution upgrade for a freight company project in North Carolina. One of the main objectives was to have the gate status visible. The GateArms LED strips were added to both inside and outside of the gate and connected to the Nice / HySecurity gate operator. When the gate is stopped the LEDs display the safety condition but when the gate moves, they flash red to indicate stop before proceeding.
