Today is the eve of a new year. It is a day full of possibilities, dreams, potential goals and successes! The question is, are you going to be able to walk within the blessings and promises that are yours, or are you going to allow the enemy of our souls to determine your future?

I would love to hear what your goals are for 2018. Have you even had a chance to think about it yet? It is not too late to take a moment and dream about how you want 2018 to be.

MORAL of the Post: Some days, you need to love yourself enough to give yourself grace to just get THROUGH the day! Tomorrow will come and each day is a FRESH START!

For "TERRIFIC Tuesday" I wanted to tell you all my blessed day so far. Yesterday was just a HARD day all the way around for some reason. (I couldn't even force myself to clean up my kitchen after making dinner.) . However, so far today, the kitchen was cleaned up, laundry was started, I had time with God, I met someone for an appointment, ran to the store to get bread, listened to those smarter then I am on running a successful business and it was only 10am!

Thrifty Thursday - The reason I wanted this particular topic is because I spend a ton of money each month on groceries and let it go to waste. I know some of you may be in the same category!

One of the best ways I have found to save my family money each month is to plan out my meals, go to the grocery store with a list (Very Important - Only buy what is on the list) and the most important thing...MAKE it! LOL . I am notorious for having meals ready to go on hand but instead of making the meal we end up going out to eat or calling for delivery.

One of the tools that works great for me in my kitchen is the "InstaPot". It is like a pressure cooker in that it can make meals quickly. However, it doesn't scare me like a pressure cooker does. If I fail to take the meat out of the freezer the day before, I can simply add some additional cooking time to my recipe.

What about you all? Does anyone else have some ideas to help with our food budgets?

I saw this awesome kind deed today on a Karen Bander's ThrowAway Ponies FB page today and wanted to share. How many times do we go about our daily walk and forget to take a moment and share it with others? I know I was guilty today of this. How about you?

This lady saw me parked at a City park this morning and decided to stop. She exited her vehicle with her two children and approached me as I was seated in my patrol car. She simply stated that she wanted to pray for me. Specifically for my safety. I expressed my gratitude the best I could, but she really has no idea how much that meant to me. Her little boy handed me a wilted flower that looked as if it had been in his pocket for a week. At that moment, it was the most beautiful flower I'd ever seen. My prayer is that sharing this encounter will encourage many to give people a chance, regardless of race or profession. You simply cannot judge an entire group of people because of the actions of some. Don't hate evil more than you love good.
