What it takes to get from demo to drywall. 🛠️

No finishes here—just the real work in progress. From tearing it out, to wiring it up, to sealing it in with drywall and texture—this is where the bones of the project come together.

It might not look pretty yet, but this is the part that sets the stage for everything that comes next.

Planning a remodel? Now’s the time to start. Let’s talk.

We shared this one last week—but here’s a deeper dive into the work behind the walls.

This bathroom used to be a home office. We turned it into a junior suite for a mother to age in place. Behind the tile, we added blocking for future grab bars. The door is wider, and the zero-entry shower is built for easy access—now and down the road.

You won’t see these details in the finished photos—but they’re what make the space truly work.

Sometimes the layout is the problem.

In this one, the laundry took up too much space in the hall, the powder and pantry were crammed off the kitchen, and the den and office weren’t doing much.

So we flipped the plan—now there’s a proper pantry/laundry, a relocated powder bath, and a full junior suite that actually works.

This dining room wasn’t supposed to have a raised ceiling—but we found the space and made the call.

It wasn’t in the original plans, but once we saw the room to go higher, we knew it’d make a big difference.

Now the space feels open and solid—like it should’ve from the start. Sometimes the best changes aren’t on paper—until they are.

This space started out as an open-air atrium—interesting, but not all that useful.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We closed it in, expanded the front entry, and added stairs that connect to the new addition.
It’s a good reminder that with the right plan, you can take an underused spot and turn it into something that actually works for the way you live.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now it feels like it’s always been part of the house—and does a whole lot more than it used to.

We flipped the script—and the layout. 🛠️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The original laundry room tucked off the hallway to the living room. The powder bath and pantry were crammed into a tight corner off the kitchen.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So we swapped them. The old laundry became the new powder bath, and we combined the former pantry and powder into one ultra utility room—with space for a proper laundry setup and a full butler’s pantry.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Swipe through for the before shots of both spaces—and see how smart changes can make a home work way better.

Everyone loves the finished house—but it takes a lot to get there. 🛠️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
From forming the foundation to standing up walls and finishing out the siding, this one came together step by step—with every part built to last. And when you’ve got a view like this, you build the kind of home that lets you take it all in.

Swipe through to see how it started, how it looked mid-build, and how it turned out in the end.

Thinking about redoing your bathroom?

Here are a few things to think through before you start:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• What’s not working? If the layout’s awkward or the storage’s lacking, now’s the time to fix it right.
• Build it to last. This isn’t just about tile and fixtures—it’s about solid framing, good plumbing, and smart decisions behind the walls.
• Think long-term. A well-built bathroom should hold up to daily use, not just look good on day one.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We’ve built a lot of bathrooms that work hard and hold up.

Not every standout feature is front and center.

This bathroom has a few extras built in where it counts—a custom pullout jewelry drawer in the closet just off the bath, a hidden hamper, and yeah… a sauna.

It’s one thing to make a space look good. It’s another to make it work hard for the people living in it.

It may be April, but this morning felt more like January. ❄️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In this living room, we swapped out a full wall of French doors for one large sliding patio door—more light, better views, and no more cold drafts.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We sealed it up right, so now it works as good as it looks—year-round.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Swipe through to see it come together—from before, to demo, to install, to the finished space.
