Our first family farm workday was a huge success! 🌻 We spent the day laying down cardboard across our 150’ x 10’ row to help suffocate the pasture grass and weeds and get our soil nice and workable for the future seasons. We also got a small raised garden bed planted for our own kitchen, filled with tomatoes, fall squash, and some lovely late-season flowers. It feels so good to get our hands in the dirt together!

What a whirlwind of a July at Sims Family Flower Farm! 🌻 We’ve been busy growing in more ways than one. Here’s a quick update on what we’ve been up to:

💍 Wedding Season: We are so grateful for all the support! Our October dates are officially fully booked, and November is almost full. If you’re planning a winter wedding, we still have space for December! ❄️

🎓 Always Learning: We recently attended the UGA Cut Flower Symposium to bring the latest data and best practices back to our fields. We can’t wait to share the results with you! 📈

🏡 We Moved!: We’ve officially leveled up and are now growing on over 1,000 sq. ft. of space! More room means more beautiful blooms for our community. ✨

🦋 Certified Wildlife Habitat: We are so proud to announce that our farm at Rowe and Turner Rd is officially a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation! We’re thrilled to be creating a thriving home for our local pollinators. 🐝
