🌎✨ We’re excited to be part of Wonder VBS 2026 at Antioch Baptist Church! Our family loves being part of this church, and we can’t wait for an incredible week of fun, fellowship, games, music, and learning about Jesus.

If you’re looking for a great VBS for your kids (or the whole family!), we’d love to see you there June 7–11. Classes are available for all ages, and supper is provided each evening.

We finished up this amazing well in Dawsonville yesterday before the storms hit!

This well came in at:
• 335 feet deep
• 57 feet of casing
• 60 gallons per minute 🔥

This is definitely one to be proud of! Blessed with another day of bringing groundwater to our community! 💧

Can you imagine digging a well like this by hand?
Wells like this were common into the early 1900s, before bored and drilled wells became more standard in the 1920s–40s.

Those cut-out spots on both sides weren’t random, they were footholds. Men would brace their feet there as they dug deeper and used them to climb in and out.

It really makes you appreciate the hard work and determination of the people who did this with nothing but hand tools. We’re grateful for the ones who came before us and paved the way for what we do today. 💧

Ever wonder what happens during the well drilling process?

All that gray material you see is called drillings; it’s the crushed granite broken up by the hammer as it works its way down. Once the casing is set, those drillings are allowed to settle and pack tightly around it.

With all the vibration and movement from the drilling, they form a solid seal around the casing, almost like concrete, helping protect and stabilize your well for the long haul.
