Our 1st Humble Abode

Our 1st Humble Abode Relatable | Achievable | Affordable 🤍 Helping other moms create a home they love for their family

05/05/2026

We brought this old pie cabinet home from my husband’s grandparent’a house. It’s something I’ve quietly loved for years 🤍

Now it’s filled with little things from our everyday… art supplies, toys within reach, and a few things just for me.

I love seeing something that held a place in her home find a new rhythm in ours. So happy this piece gets to be a part of our home!

A few of my favorite vintage finds that will be available this weekend at Rooted in Grace Collective Goods 🤍

Each piece was chosen slowly, things I’d bring into my own home, now waiting for someone else to love them next.

This is just a small sneak peek. There will be so many other vendors to shop and a coffee cart to enjoy while you browse ☕️
Opening weekend is almost here ✨

Join us for our Grand Opening
✨ Friday, May 1 & Saturday, May 2

A day full of little moments — egg hunts, sticky hands, time with family, but most importantly remembering the reason we celebrate.

A little quiet over here lately 🤍
Just living in the slow, full days — and thankful to finally feel spring on its way. Hopefully to stay this time 🤞🏼✨

If I’m honest, last week felt long.
Being trapped inside with littles can wear you down, even when the moments are good.

But I’m learning to pause and remember — this is the season I’ll miss.
So we slowed down, made things from scratch, gathered close, and made our home as cozy as we could.✨🤍

A week made up of small things.
Errands turned into outings, time in the Word squeezed in between naps and playing, little helpers in the kitchen, and biscuits made from scratch.

Nothing about it was particularly exciting — but it felt full.
These are the rhythms of this season, and I’m learning not to rush past them.🫶🏼

The past week has felt like the cozy start to a new season 🤍
A little thrifting, a little decorating, and a whole lot of soaking in slow moments with people I love the most.

I found some darling Christmas treasures for next to nothing (I swear thrift stores get magical this time of year ✨) — but the real treasures were the simple, ordinary moments at home.
These are the days I know I’ll miss someday.
The giggles under twinkle lights, the messy counter filled with memories, excitement over what becomes ordinary to adults, and toys sprawled across the house.
Grateful for the warmth in it all — even the chaos

Spot the difference 👀☕

I swapped out our old mugs with these 10¢ thrift finds and suddenly my whole coffee bar feels brand new.
Small changes and secondhand treasures, —that’s the season I’m in right now.

Do you ever feel like God meets you in the little things? Like a warm mug and a quiet minute? Same. 🤍
Would you have guessed these mugs were a dime each?

Sometimes it’s hard to create a quiet place to meet with Jesus—but don’t let that stop you from finding rest for your soul. ☕️

I’ve shared with a few friends that it can be easy to skip my time in the Word based off just an assumption that it won’t go well. I’ve been feeling convicted to reframe the way my “quiet time” may look during this season of motherhood.

I’ve been working on accepting that some mornings it may be before the girls wake, others it may be amidst a tantrum or two, and some may be alongside your precious kiddos. This has allowed me to move past my perfect picture of this time, but rather prioritize what really matters, time with our Father.

Also, wanted to share the realities of what’s often behind the pretty asthetic, mess!

What’s something you’ve found helpful to be in the Word more often during busy seasons of motherhood?

It’s good to be back, friends!

I’ve been gone for a while, but have been missing the creative outlet. Sometimes it can feel intimidating to step back into this space. Days can be long and mundane, nothing about it may be aesthetic or dreamy, but that’s real life, isn’t it? I figured many of you find yourself in the same place, and who couldn’t use another mom friend? 🫶🏼
