Insulation isn’t the sexy part of a home renovation.
You don’t show it off to guests, and you don’t post it on Instagram.

But when winter hits, energy bills climb, rooms feel uneven, or drafts start creeping in… suddenly it matters a lot.

The right insulation decision affects:
• Comfort year-round
• Energy efficiency
• Moisture and mold prevention
• Long-term durability of your home

A lot of homeowners focus on finishes. We focus on what protects the home behind the walls.

Because the best upgrades are the ones you feel every single day.

New home builds and renovations are picking up pace. As you think about the exciting parts of your home project from paint colors to flooring, don’t overlook your insulation options. Air leaks were a major issue this past winter, and spray foam insulation helps ensure your home is sealed from outside airflow, cutting costs on your energy bills.

Our team is ready for on-site inspections to provide you with insulation options that work best for your home. DM us for an estimate.

Are you getting what you paid for?

Unless you’re getting a hybrid solution, no one should be cutting corners and only spraying 1-inch of spray foam. Even with a hybrid model (where you combine spray foam with fiberglass insulation), the minimum installed should be 2 inches.

We opened this attic and found mold caused by poor airflow — something we see more often than you’d think. When warm air gets trapped with no proper ventilation, moisture builds up… and that’s where the problems begin.

What we did:
• Installed baffles to create proper airflow from soffit to ridge
• Removed compromised fiberglass insulation
• Upgraded to closed-cell spray foam insulation

Why spray foam?
Fiberglass can trap moisture and lose effectiveness over time — especially in attics with airflow issues. Closed-cell spray foam does more than insulate:
• Creates an air seal to stop moisture intrusion
• Adds structural strength
• Helps regulate temperature year-round
• Reduces the risk of mold coming back

Spring is the perfect time to catch these issues early — before summer heat makes them worse.

If your attic hasn’t been looked at in a while, it might be time.

This winter exposed what your house has been hiding.
Air leaks around window frames, small cracks, and especially basement joists can make your home feel colder than it should. The fix? Smart air sealing, using spray foam insulation, that keeps temperatures even all year long.

Whether you already have a finished basement, you’re mid-reno, or building from the ground up, adding spray foam insulation to your basement joists can make a huge difference in comfort and air quality.

Here’s what it actually does for your home:

Improves energy efficiency: Keeps cold air out in winter and helps maintain cooler temps in summer.

Controls moisture: Reduces the risk of mold, mildew, and long-term moisture issues.

Cuts down noise: Adds a layer of soundproofing.

Adds strength: Reinforces your home’s structure at the foundation level.

And yes, we said that right, you can do this in a FINISHED BASEMENT. Spray foam installs cleanly and quickly, with minimal disruption, so you’re not tearing things apart and disrupting your day-to-day.

Myth: Spray foam insulation isn’t covered by homeowners insurance.

Reality: Coverage depends on your insurance policy, not the insulation itself.

Spray foam is widely used in new builds and renovations, and when it’s installed correctly by trained professionals, it’s generally treated like any other insulation material. Insurance carriers typically look at proper installation, building codes, and documentation, and not the insulation type alone.

If insurance coverage is a concern, we always recommend checking with your provider. We’re happy to walk homeowners through what to ask and share the details of how spray foam is installed so you can make an informed decision with confidence.
