Another job and another very happy customer. She even had me tighten up a sink faucet that was loose. That we of course just did without charge since it took me less then a minute to get it done. Best part is her last handyman was trying to charge her $300 to replace the brand new faucet just because a nut was loose. Don’t fall for scams like that and companies that just wanna take advantage. 🔧 Door slab swap turned into a full-on rescue mission today! 🚪💪

Customer called me out simply to replace a badly damaged interior door slab. Easy enough, right? …Wrong.

As soon as I pulled the old slab off the hinges, the real story showed up:
The previous “installer” had framed the opening completely out of square, then instead of fixing the frame, they just took a SAW to the original door slab and trimmed it down until it kinda-sorta fit. 🤦‍♂️ No shimming, no leveling, no pride in workmanship—just a hacked-up door hiding a twisted jamb.

What started as a simple slab swap turned into:
✅ Ripping out all the old, crooked casing
✅ Re-framing and squaring the entire rough opening
✅ Proper shimming, plumbing, and anchoring the jamb rock-solid
✅ Hanging the fresh new slab with perfect reveals
✅ New casing, clean miters, nailed tight
Now it swings smooth, latches perfectly, and actually looks like a professional did it the first time 😉

Moral of the story: Cutting corners (or doors) never ends well. When it’s not installed right, it’s never going to work right.

Now dont judge the not painted finish. Thic client just wanted the primed unpainted finish.
