1. Change your filter every month - even during cooling season
2. In these temperatures set your thermostat and LEAVE it alone
3. If you get a lot of direct sun, keep your blinds or curtains closed

These are actual heat exchangers we recently pulled from a customers furnace. When asked if they felt differently at home then at work the answer was yes, did they find themselves going to bed earlier the answer was yes. Classic signs of carbon monoxide poisoning. Your furnace should be checked every year.
