We pride ourselves on providing quality craftsmanship, meeting our commitments and working with our customers and other contractors to get things done. We’ve been around for over 40 years because we like what we do and we’re good at it. You’ll find examples of our work all over Columbus and in many states in the eastern and southern United States. Our RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS are a mixture of interior

and exterior trim, custom cabinets, hardwood flooring, decks, porches, basement remodels, media rooms, gazebos and pergolas. Most of these projects were on homes ranging from $350,000 to over $1,000,000. Many years have been spent working with established custom builders whose reputations depended on quality workmanship delivered by dependable craftsmen. Some of the subdivisions and areas around Columbus where we have completed projects
• Medallion
• Sage Creek
• Summerwood
• Harvest Wind
• Mariner’s Cove
• New Albany
• Galena
• Sunbury Road waterfront

Our core business is carpentry contracting, but we have also built approximately 15 new homes in these areas over the last 30 years, including one that was featured in the Annual Parade of Homes.
• Muirfield Village
• New Albany
• Dublin
• Galena
• Johnstown
• Westerville

Some of our COMMERCIAL PROJECTS are listed below and are primarily interior and exterior finish carpentry. Several years were also spent travelling the United States with a commercial construction management company to remodel stores, install fixtures and supervise projects.

Here is our most recent Kitchen, photos do not do it justice! Sheri & Rick Smith had a vision and I think it came out amazing. Sheri had photos that she would show me and with her selections, their Kitchen now looks like one of the photos she was showing me. Absolutely Love this one!

All new flooring throughout the home, new Kitchen cabinets with floating shelves, stone wall in Kitchen, Fireplace wall, Foyer and Bedroom Hallway, reclaimed wood beams in the Kitchen & Foyer and new antique Pantry door. We were able to save the island countertop and reuse it on the new island cabinets.

Couple of Bathrooms we did in Westerville, Master Bath and 2nd floor Hall Bath. Love how it turned out and the homeowner selections. Removed the tub from bay window, changed the shower footprint to a HUGE 4'x4' shower base, made the private water closet for the toilet with an outlet for a future bidet. Homeowners make us look good with selections like this!

For the Hall Bath, we removed every soffit we could and minimized the soffit above the vanity as much as possible after rerouting some electrical and plumbing.

All the trim was stain matched to existing trim in the home, this was a fun and challenging project

Nothing more needs said!

Was looking for a specific picture last night and came across this that I posted back in 2023. It still holds true today and especially since the number of local home bakers and cake decorators in our area have doubled, maybe tripled, in these last few years. I just felt it was worth sharing again. Thanks to everyone that supports local, small businesses and wishing continued success to all of my fellow bakers and artists!

Saw this today and felt it was worth sharing. There are SOOOO many excellent bakers and cake decorators / artists in our local area. Some of us follow each other on social media. Some of us have become friends and revered colleagues at a distance. Some of us exchange &/or buy each other’s products &/or services. Some of us work together to help a shared client bring their idea or vision to fruition. Some of us happily refer new and existing clients to each other when we don’t have availability or talents to meet their needs.
It saddens me when I hear of or read about fellow local bakers bickering or aggressively “competing” for clients. 👏IT’S👏JUST👏NOT👏NECESSARY. There are enough of us to meet the needs of all potential clients at all different price points and budgets.
I keep a long list of other local bakers on hand and will continue to utilize, refer clients to, purchase from and collaborate with all of them. ⭐️It is absolutely 100% true that supporting each other helps both businesses and you may be surprised by the great friendships and awesome ideas that can come of it!⭐️

Wrapped up a couple of projects this week.

No more builder grade wire shelving in this pantry!

They had one bathroom on the first floor and wanted a private full bath for guests. We took the single full bath and turned it into a full bath and a half. Enlarged the footprint slightly and each bath now has their own entrance, no more sharing for guests.

To continue with our finished projects this week, here is the Kitchen remodel we finished up in New Albany. Not a complete demo and kept the same footprint. We transformed the desk area to a beverage center, cut down the ½ wall to extend the peninsula countertop to a larger usable countertop, new island cabinets, added upper wall cabinets to ceiling and all new cabinet lighting in kitchen, butlers pantry and above island.

Sergent & Son had an extremely productive week finishing up a couple projects. Here is the Basement Bathroom in Lewis Center that started off as a tight ½ bath. Complete demo with new shower stall, vanity and top, fixtures, lighting, trim, tile and paint. Love how it turned out!
