Our Harvest Flower x Rhinebeck KAL Collection is officially LIVE! 🍂🗽🌺✨

Seeing your inspiration and feeling your excitement for this collection has truly meant the world to me and the team 🥹 whether you’re joining in on the KAL and will see us at rhinebeck or plan to stay home this year, we’re just delighted that you want to make something with us in the first place ❤️🥹 we’ve got 40 (no, I can’t count apparently 😂) colorways available as individual skeins AND Harvest Flower kit listings for all 3 DK bases with the team palettes available as well!

🚨 Y’ALL WHAT?!? 😍 I am not going to lie putting together your Harvest Flower Sweater mockups has been one of the most fun things I’ve done this summer, and this summer has been full of pretty exciting things 😂

This isn’t even half of the mockups y’all submitted so far (my lil Apple Pencil can only move so fast), and I’ll be cranking some more out for ya before the night is over! In the meantime, I couldn’t help but show off the incredible ideas y’all were generous enough to share with me. I cannot get over how clever and creative these are 😭 I cannot WAIT to make this sweater with y’all!

The Harvest Flower x Rhinebeck KAL Collection launches TONIGHT, Sunday, August 23rd at 7pm Mountain Time. We will be offering 40 colorways, across three DK bases, with a turnaround time of four weeks so you can get to knitting on your Harvest Flower sweater asap (even if you won’t be attending NY Sheep & Wool this year)!

Introducing: ADIRONDACK DK, our newest non-superwash DK base 🍂🗽

For some time now, we have been searching for a new non-superwash base to add to our lineup, particularly a DK weight one! While we liked Earthy DK, there were some things that just never sat quite right with us, and we wanted to bring something new to the table that we loved even more than our Earthy DK base. Enter: Adirondack DK 😌 The name was suggested to me by the team, as a nod to my time in New York, and I knew I had no choice but to say yes to that 😭❤️

Adirondack DK is a 100% non-superwash merino yarn, with a 20.5 micron count, and 246 yards/100g skein. If you are still learning the ins and outs of NSW yarn like I am, the lower the micron, the softer the yarn 👀 For comparison, if you tried our Earthy DK base, that one sat at 26.5 microns! This new base is EXTREMELY soft, bouncy, and has such a great structure to it. A little more drape compared to Earthy DK, but to me, the structure of this yarn falls right in between Rockies DK and Earthy DK, similar to how our Linen DK base is, but with the feel of Cashmere DK. As I type this, I realize I may sound insane, but for me, comparisons are always really helpful when trying out a new yarn base that you haven’t gotten to feel in real life yet!

If this base needed further proof of its delightfulness, half of the team decided to use this base for their Harvest Flower Sweaters after getting to work with it in the studio over the past couple of months (myself included!!) 😍

Another thing I’ll mention about this base is that is takes color up more richly (a word?) compared to our Earthy DK and Linen DK bases. Still slightly less saturated than our superwash bases like Rockies DK, which is the only superwash base available in this update, but less so compared to our NSW bases in the past, which is why I am SO excited about it.

Adirondack DK will be debuting this Sunday, August 23rd at 7pm Mountain Time as a base offering for our Harvest Flower x Rhinebeck KAL Collection 💃🏻🍂🗽🌺✨

HARVEST FLOWER x the EKF team: PART 2 💃🏻🍂🗽🌺✨

I am very, VERY pleased to share the rest of the EKF team color palettes for our Harvest Flower x Rhinebeck KAL Collection 🥹 In the second half of palettes, we’ve got Nora (our soft ethereal gal), Sarah (cozy neutral inspirational vibes always), Aylannah (our pastel summer loving queen), Issy (our BRIGHT POP girlie!!), and Kelly (our timeless, endlessly stylish gal). And, my palette, leaning into the chaos with two brand new colorways 👀 Moon Jelly is one of six new colorways(!) I created this summer for our weekend with ōSHen knits, and the other one we created just last week for my main color 😌 We’re calling this vibrant, rich blue Flitter, inspired by the way I tend to live my life, fluttering madly from place to place trying to get all the things done at once 🙃🦋 I genuinely hope you love it 💙

In addition to having every one of the EKF team palettes available for a Harvest Flower Sweater kit purchase (there will be three listings for each base we’re offering for kits), there will be three à la carte listings where you can individually purchase any of the 38 colorways on any of our DK bases if you want to come up with your own color combo for the Harvest Flower Sweater! I received many ideas in my DMs yesterday and cannot wait to hear more of them this weekend 😍 Also, if you’re just really excited to see one (or a few) of these colorways come back, you’re more than welcome to take this as your chance to snag them even if you’re not participating in the KAL. We know it’s been a long, long while since some of these have been available and hope you’re as happy as we are to see them return!

HARVEST FLOWER x the EKF team 🥹🍂🗽🌺✨

I am SO jazzed to be sharing our first six color palettes for The Harvest Flower x Rhinebeck KAL Collection, curated by the EKF team (and, as you may have noticed here, a past EKF team member that will be joining us on the east coast this fall for Rhinebeck 👀❤️).

We’ve got our Harvest Flower Sweater lineup for Jenn (pollen queen 4ever), Rachael (leaning into her vibrant era), Jae (cozy and timeless style always), Meredith (our garden loving girlie), Ava (SO chic and sophisticated w this one!!), and Rachel (our moody, dark loving gal).

One of the main reasons that sparked me wanting to launch this collection was how I felt after mocking up the first few versions of these color palettes for the team. Glancing at each one, I saw so much of their personalities in their choices. And for someone who is quite fond of and endeared to this incredibly special group of women, it really warmed my heart. And, it made me want to share a piece of that with all of you. I know it might sound silly, but I look at these photos and see every one of them — their personality traits, them hanging out in the studio, laughing, them working incredibly hard always, showing more care and love towards EKF than I ever thought I’d have in a team. They’re pretty fckng wonderful, and I am so happy that we get to make a sweater together with y’all this fall 😌🍂

We are SO excited to announce our next collection: HARVEST FLOWER x RHINEBECK! 🍂🗽🌺✨

This year, the team and I decided to take a break from vending and head upstate together just as a group to get some quality time in and swap the dye studio for a long weekend of coziness in the woods 😌 Of course, in addition to lots of crafting, exploring, meals shared, and reconnecting with old and new members of the team, we’ll be attending some of the festivities of Rhinebeck weekend, including New York Sheep & Wool on Saturday.

Ever since I told the team I wanted to bring them all out here, we knew we had no choice but to do a lil EKF knit-a-long for the occasion 🥹❤️ 15 sweater pattern submissions and a few rounds of voting later, and we narrowed it down to one, the Harvest Flower Sweater by Jessie Mead Designs.

Since we decided on one sweater, that meant we had a LOT of room to play with something we know and love: COLOR. One sweater. 12 palettes. 38(!) COLORWAYS!!

And it was in that moment of realization that I knew we couldn’t keep this knit-a-long to ourselves anymore. As we all know, community and togetherness feel more important than ever, so instead of launching our next phase of the Monochrome Collection right away, we decided to pivot and make space for this 🥹

I am SO excited to finally have our entire EKF Spindlewild palette available online for y’all!! The team and I are so, so proud of this collection, and have worked so hard every step of the way to meet the impressively high and well-earned standards that Spincycle brings to the table ❤️ to work alongside them has genuinely been an honor and so much fun, and we can’t wait to see where it goes next!! 🥹🌈✨

We are SO excited to officially announce that our EKF x Spindlewild Palette will be hitting our online shop at 12pm PT/1pm MT/3pm ET TOMORROW, Thursday, August 13th!!!

Y’all were so incredibly supportive of this collaboration when we launched it at Flock Fiber Festival, and now that all of the yarn has arrived safe and sound back in the studio we’re ready to get these beauties online 😎

Our 12 SPINDLEWILD colorways will be available on our website as an in-stock update ONLY! I repeat, this is *NOT* a preorder 👀 So, once a colorway is sold out, it’ll be gone 😳 If you’ve been eyeing this palette (and all of the incredible collaborations that came with it), now is the time! All 12 of Spincycle’s SPINDLEWILD palette colorways will be available on their website at the same time tomorrow as well 🤩

Sample of the Month COLOR PALETTES 😍🌈✨

Originally knit up for us when we created our Butterfly Effect Solstice Collection in 2025, this jaw-dropping design deserved its moment in the sun as it just released on Ravelry this past week!

We have now had the pleasure of working with Megan, our wonderful sample knitter turned friend and collaborator, on five of her designs! She continues to raise the bar when it comes to intricate and complex patterns being made available in a way that feels approachable and manageable, which we all know is not an easy feat. Working with her gets our creative muscles flexing, and every time she showcases our yarn in a way we never could’ve imagined 🥹

This month’s Sample of the Month includes twelve colorways: Metamorphoses, Ephemeral, Emergence, Chrysalis, My Future is Unlimited, On the Fly, Duck, Duck, Freefall, Pollen, Beet Juice, Charmed, + Red Herring.

All 12 colorways will ALSO be available as single skeinson Rockies DK in our Simultaneous Sweater: à la carte listings!
August’s Sample of the Month launches Sunday, August 9th at 7pm Mountain Time. Sample of the Month, our 2026 Club, will be a monthly offering that has a turnaround time of four weeks.
