When my clients' deck started falling apart, they knew they needed a solution that would be safe for their growing family. Oh Dad, today marks a year that you left this earth, and as each day that goes by it never gets easier. You seem so close with all the memories I cherish and continue to keep close to my heart. As I write this my tears flow wishing I had one more hug or one more chance to see you play with the kids, hear your silly dad jokes or hear your infectious laughter. Constant reminders of the man that you showed me and continually hearing how I’m little Jerry in rigging things that are broken or tackling tough tasks head on since that’s what a provider does. I love you Wapo and wish you could be here to see all the amazing things the kids are accomplishing and to see Elly get married this fall. I know you will be with us because we fill our lives with the joy and silliness you brought to this family. Jojo always says how much he misses you and I’m so glad he had such awesome memories to remember forever. I know you are pain and stress free now and wreaking havoc wherever you are. I love you and will see you again one day.

So happy the way this transformation turned out! My clients had several contractors tell them this couldn’t be done. I listened close to their needs and came up with a design that they absolutely love. I didn’t want to leave! And that view is breathtaking! I worked with them on a custom outdoor kitchen, sunken fire pit and sunken hot tub and tied it all together with a textured border in a contemporary design. Included railing to access an existing walkway and steps to access the rest of the yard. What do you think? Leave a comment about your favorite part!

Yesterday a hole in my heart was created that will never be filled. A man that has loved me and guided me and shown me how to be the man I am today. Not perfect by any means but showing me how I can be a better man through my imperfections. Someone who knew how to have fun and enjoy the simple things in life. Demonstrated how much you can accomplish despite never finishing the 8th grade to do what was necessary to provide. You loved your grandkids more than me I think, and you let them definitely get away with more that we did but it was that love that you took with you that I will never be able to replace. You were the toughest man I know, even surviving 4 heart attacks and driving yourself to the hospital for two of them so mom wouldn’t have to worry. I’m so glad God chose the best dad I could have ever asked for to be in my life. My heart aches right now because I will never get to hear the same dad jokes you said every time I see you, or the silly songs you would make up to make the kids laugh, or all the unhealthy snacks you always stocked up on so that you would have treats when we came over, or the money you would throw around every Easter because the kids would get so excited to find the golden egg. I do know one thing. You left behind a legacy that will never be forgotten. Your zeal for life and passion for your family to drop everything immediately to help us when we needed it is going to be sorely missed. I will never forget you dad and will always love you. Please know we will look after mom. You loved her and cared for her so much. And we will honor you by passing all the great things you demonstrated and loved everyday.

My client had a beautiful backyard and had turf installed years ago. Fast forward to today and she hated being back there because the smell from her pet waste made it impossible to enjoy. No matter how much she cleaned, she could not get rid of the odor. Since the previous company took a short cut and didn’t excavate to the proper depth, and didn’t use the proper infill like we use that is pet and kid friendly with an anti-microbial coating that doesn’t degrade or retain pet odors. Once we met she saw the level of quality of what we do and said she should have done that years ago. She can now enjoy her backyard since we added the proper drainage and backfill and not just a bandaid over her existing problem. It makes me so happy to provide solutions they can enjoy for years to come!

Transformation Tuesday!!! My client had the hardest time keeping her grass green no matter what she did. She was tired of the water bills and maintenance as she was getting older and wanted to spend more time enjoying green grass instead of maintaining it. So I designed her new grass to utilize her existing sprinkler system to keep it clean and also gave her tree room to grow for the future. She was so happy with the final result. What do you think??
