First night in the house during this “storm” went as expected.
-I was anxious about our baby getting too cold in his room.
-We figured out that we forgot to clean our air filter. Got it out and cleaned it. Dried it as much as we could and put it back in. Went ahead and turned the aux heat on instead of regular heat to ensure warmth throughout the night. Realized that the heat exhanger had probably blew because when we turned it on, a rough burning smell (from the dust build ip im sure) and then nothing happened. Plus when it’s defrosting the unit, its blowing room temp air, which feels cold coming out. Yay for us!! 😂
-So here we go with no Aux heat! Luckily, we have a couple of heat sources in case. 🤦🏻♀️ Perfect timing….
We will have to visit Carrier later this week for a replacement once Luke verifies that’s what happened. 😩
