This weekend I did a project for my toughest customer - myself.

Got the whole yard aerated, overseeded, and fertilized. One area had some rougher spots than the rest, so I put down some composted manure there and put up temporary fencing to keep the dogs at bay and give the grass seed a better chance to come in.

It’s a lot more work than just mowing every week, but this is the kind of stuff that pays off over time and really elevates a lawn.

If you’d be interested in doing something like this to your lawn, feel free to reach out for a free estimate.

Follow along to see how it fills in over the next few weeks!

With the recent rain, lawns are really starting to green up and growth is beginning to take off.

This is the time of year where things can get ahead of you fast if you’re not staying on top of it. Starting early with consistent mowing makes a big difference.

We’re getting SO close to lawn season, but timing still matters.

With the warmer days lately, it’s tempting to jump into seeding or w**d control - but the ground is still a lot colder than it seems. Most lawn treatments don’t really start working until soil temperatures reach about 50-55°, so getting the timing right makes a big difference.

What you CAN do right now:
• Clean up sticks, leaves, and winter debris
• Rake out matted grass
• Take note of thin areas to address later

What to HOLD OFF on (for now):
• Seeding
• Crabgrass preventer and other pre-emergents
• Most fertilizers

Starting too early can actually set your lawn back. Waiting just a little bit longer will pay off in the long run.

If you want help getting your yard cleaned up and ready for the season, feel free to reach out - I’d be happy to take a look.
