Had the pleasure of swapping a ruptured pressure tank with a 65 gallon fiberglass tank.

If you are noticing your pressure fluctuates or your pressure switch clicking every few seconds while using your water it’s an indication that your tank needs to be replaced.

If it is not replaced in a timely manner, it can cause extra stress on your pump motor and will drastically lower the life expectancy of your pump.

Job completed, FINALLY!

First we received a call after hours for no water last week.

Upon arriving we found a frozen waterline and malfunctioning check valve. Replaced check valve and frozen line got system up and running. But the existing jet pump had an internal leak but worked for the night until I could get new pump.

Returned & changed pump, but air was getting into system and causing issues. After troubleshooting we determined that there was an issue in the well that was buried under ground.

Monday we returned with mini excavator in tow. We exposed well and while pulling water lines from well we found the hole (picture) in the suction line. We brought well above ground and up to code, installed new submersible pump with new lines from pump the pressure tank.

This hole was on a jet pump system that kept loosing it’s prime and caused the pump to burn up. It was it was a 3/4 inch galvanized line down in the well from the 1970’s.

Another exploratory job completed!

We had the pleasure of restoring the system to working order using a significant amount of existing materials and bringing it up to Michigan code.

•Removed old waterlines and point wells in basement and filled with cement.

•Removed ruptured pressure tank that was attached to the well outside and replaced with tank that was hooked up point well.

•Brought up to Michigan code.

Few people know you should do routine maintenance every 1 to 3 years with your well system. This helps keep your pump working for as long as possible!

Pictures below show a build up of iron bacteria. Build up can cause your pump to clog or even cause irreparable damage to it’s internal components.

Do you know what causes most well pumps to fail?

The leading culprit is often your pressure tank!

The average life span of a pressure tank is 7 to 15 years, depending on water usage & quality. Over time the rubber bladder inside ruptures and the tank becomes waterlogged.

Red Flags in Pressure Tanks 🚩:
1. If you hear clicking every few seconds coming from your pressure tank while using water.
2. Fluctuating water pressure while using water, usually noticed while running a hose or in the in the shower.
3. If you notice water around pressure tank, it becomes a matter of time before it creates a hole in the tank and floods your basement!
