Good Gourd Race Good Gourd Race is paddling giant pumpkins across a body of water. The race will be held in late September. More details to follow for the 2025 race.

Racer will sit inside giant pumpkins and use canoe or kayak paddles to race across a body of water.

Seeds have been sown (indoors) for Good Gourd Race 2026. Follow along as Corey & Mike attempt to grow pumpkins over 800 pounds. If successful pumpkins will be raced in a giant pumpkin regatta held in early October at a location to be determined.

It will be a friendly and fun competition. If a bunch of pumpkins reach 800 pounds or more, additional racers will be added. It will be a great event to come watch.

Due to crop failure, the 2025 Good Gourd Race has been canceled. We were unable to grow or find pumpkins big enough for this year's races.

Will this Cinderella's Ride variety pumpkin be the ride to a Cinderella story victory in Good Gourd Race 2025?

We have details slowly coming together for Good Gourd Race 2025. The race time is set for 1pm on October 4th. The pumpkins and paddlers will hit the starting line at 1pm.

The location is to be determined. If anyone has suggestions of a place with a calm bay - relatively w**d free, or section of river, we are open to suggestions.

We are open to additional sponsors for this year's race. Dogwood Designs Landscape Design & Consulting has already signed on as sponsor for this year's race.

After 6 weeks growing indoors, all of the plants for this year's race went into the ground over the weekend. Our guard crew was on site Sunday for the planting of the Prior Lake pumpkin patch. This site will get mulch this week. Then watch the giant pumpkins grow.
