A pot in a pot, yes you can do that!

When our seedlings are small and we have limited space on the heat mat or under the grow light, it makes the most sense to start them in our smallest #3 style pots. Over a couple months; that small pot may not support the plants growing needs and it’s absolutely okay to take the entire CowPot and step it up into a larger pot, no need to crush or tear the pot wall. The roots will continue to grow through the pot wall and the added soil volume will support healthy plant growth.

A bigger plant requires a bigger pot!
The #11 Square Tall CowPot was designed for roses and other perennial that like to have a deep root system. We have used them to step up our tomato seedlings when they need more space to grow before going in the high tunnel.
