Our first full moon of 2024 is upon us! This moon is known as the Wolf Moon and falls within the firey sign of Leo.

Creative, passionate, dramatic energy will be in the air. Because it is the first full moon, it allows us to set the tone for the upcoming year. We can shed the past and look forward to new beginnings. Be careful of unresolved issues. The moon in Leo will bring these to the forefront. We may even find ourselves evaluating relationships that no longer work for us. We could also find the urge to remove the clutter from our personal space as well.

After you select your crystal and cleanse it, it is time to program the stone for your desired purpose. You don't have to do this, however, intention setting will help you achieve your goals and get the most out of your crystals.

To do this you will hold the crystal in your hand. It is best to sit in natural light or directly in the sun. Say out loud "I want to dedicate this crystal to its highest good and may it be surrounded by love and light." Then you will want to assign your intention to it. Say out loud, "I dedicate this crystal for ...blank... purpose."

And voila! Watch your crystal work its magic.

On June 21 the Sun enters Cancer and it is also the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. Spiritual practices such as meditation, manifestation, affirmations, and intention setting should be the focus while we celebrate the Sun. As the energy of the Sun takes the spotlight during the longest day of the year, we are reminded that there is light in this world when it seems like there is so much darkness. There is a light within all of us and our spirit becomes awakened after the long winter. Our souls are running free as we shift to being more expressive and extroverted. The Winter Solstice was about planting seeds and reflection. The Summer Solstice is a time to think about new beginnings and make sure our goals are set for the year. So what will be your spiritual ritual this Solstice?
