✂️ BRACE YOURSELF! This is not for the faint of heart... chopping off over 5 feet of this Fiddle Leaf Fig!

Deep breath as you scroll through the photos because it looks harsh after the cut. But chopping will actually be a glow up long term. I promise! Too often we're afraid to prune our houseplants. Afraid we'll cut in the wrong place or the plant will have an adverse reaction.

However, just like trimming our hair, pruning promotes new growth and encourages stems to branch out. This Fiddle, although gorgeous, was starting to put off wobbly Jack & The Beanstalk vibes.

Making this cut:

🌱 Encourages new shoots from the sides
🌿 Will create a fuller, bushier shape
☀️ Helps more light reach the lower leaves
✂️ Controls an overly tall, single-stalk plant, providing balance
💚 Gives us a chance to propagate the top!

Sometimes the best thing you can do for a fiddle leaf fig is… cut it down to size! 😍

Are you feeling relaxed and centered? 🧘‍♀️

This on site commercial plant doctor visit to was one of the calmest environments I've visited recently. I was impressed with the expansive green friends lovingly placed around this yoga studio. And after a couple visits each and every plant had been cleaned up, shined up and ready to put out more good vibes! 🌿

Side note... Aren't their custom built plant shelves amazing?!! 😍
