Here we have a "custom " home built about 5 years ago. And the owner called me because every time she turned on her recess lights she would smell a wood burning smell. When I arrived to check the recess cans. I noticed that the recess can where installed without the can. And the lights where horizontal. Major issue. House could of caught on fire. Please view one of my pictures to view the wood that caught fire. We reinstalled new fixtures and are working perfect.
