Sherwin-Williams ProMar 200 Eggshell is a workhorse interior paint that delivers a beautiful low-sheen finish with excellent hide and durability. When brushing and rolling, start with a high-quality nylon/polyester brush for cutting in edges and corners, then use a 3/8” or 1/2” nap microfiber or woven roller cover for fast, streak-free coverage. Keep a wet edge at all times, work in 3x3 ft sections, and roll in an “M” or “W” pattern to avoid lap marks. Two thin coats are better than one heavy coat—ProMar 200 levels beautifully and touches up like a dream. Perfect for walls, trim, and high-traffic areas!

When priming wood with Sherwin-Williams ProBlock using a sprayer, proper preparation and technique are key for best results.
Start by sanding any exposed or weathered wood to a fresh surface, patching holes or imperfections with wood filler, and sanding smooth. Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dust, grease, or debris. For airless spraying (the most common method for ProBlock), use 2000 p.s.i. pressure with a .015–.017 inch tip (or up to .021 inch depending on the specific ProBlock formula). Apply at temperatures above 50°F (10°C), holding the gun perpendicular to the surface with steady, overlapping passes for even coverage. One or two thin coats are typically sufficient for stain blocking and adhesion. Allow proper dry time (often 1–2 hours to recoat for many formulas) before topcoating. Always check the specific product data sheet for your ProBlock variant (oil-based or latex).
This method provides fast, smooth coverage with minimal brush/roller marks on trim, cabinets, or larger wood surfaces.

Sherwin-Williams Loxon XP is an excellent high-build, waterproofing masonry coating for painting exterior CMU (concrete masonry units). It’s a direct-to-masonry product that requires no primer on most bare surfaces (pH 6–13) and delivers strong protection against wind-driven rain, alkali, efflorescence, and mildew in just two coats.
For best results, thoroughly clean the CMU to remove dirt, dust, efflorescence, and loose material, then patch cracks or voids with an elastomeric sealant. Very porous blocks may benefit from a first coat of Loxon Block Surfacer. Apply two coats of Loxon XP by roller (½–1½” nap), brush, or airless spray with back-rolling to achieve the recommended wet film thickness (roughly 14.5–18.5 mils per coat). It can be applied down to 35°F (surface above dew point) and typically covers 85–110 sq. ft. per gallon per coat depending on texture. Always consult the latest product data sheet for your specific conditions.
This approach provides durable, flexible, long-lasting protection for exterior CMU walls.

Start by cutting in the edges, corners, and around trim with a high-quality nylon-polyester brush for clean, precise lines. Then, use a ¼ to ½ inch nap woven roller cover to apply the paint evenly across the main wall surfaces in smooth, overlapping “W” or “M” patterns to avoid streaks. Work in manageable sections, maintaining a wet edge for seamless blending, and apply two coats for optimal coverage and toughness. The paint rolls out nicely with minimal splatter and provides excellent flow and leveling.
