My go to “self care” is going outside...preferably hiking or drawing/reading in nature.
It’s not glamorous but it’s rejuvenating. It’s just what I need to clear my mind and get ready for more life!

I love puns! Do you have a favorite valentines pun? They’re so cheesy I can’t help but chuckle 🤭
The last two years I’ve done puns for my valentines classes. I loved it so much I thought I’d bring it back again.
I have online only tutorials of the Valentine puns classes on sale this week over on my site.

It’s that time of year when it seems like everyone is sick and you can’t go more than a week without catching something new.
Especially if you have kids… kids are gross haha
My kids had the flu now for 9 days and we’re finally seeing improvement. I got lucky and dodged a major bullet 😬
Anyway, just wanted to remind you, and me, that it’s ok to seriously dial back your activities this winter- at least the extra ones.
Do the work you have to do, then cut yourself a break. Stay healthy everyone, so we can see each other in class! 😁
Also, watch stories because when I don’t look like I’ve been tending to sick kids for over a week, I’ll post info on the new classes!

What’s your favorite class you’ve taken with me? I’ve done over 35 classes now and I’ve learned a lot from that first one!
Here’s a throwback to some cookies from my very first valentines class that I did for a group of friends.
I learned a lot! I made WAY too much icing and spent hours hand knitting icing bags…
I burned at least a quarter of the cookies I made and probably underbaked many others.
Class lasted forever, I didn’t know how to explain how to decorate cookies, and our space was TIGHT!
Now we have an awesome location, amazing students, delicious cookies and icing, and I can actually teach a pretty great class!

Happy New Year everyone! I’m a little late to acknowledge the new year 😅. We have a lot of crazy family changes in the works and it’s been overwhelming so I took a long step back from the world and have been enjoying family and nature time!
I thought I’d show my face here for once since I don’t often do that. My name is Alanna. I love to be outside more than inside and get major FOMO if I hear of others doing any kind of outdoor adventuring without me. I love street tacos, Thai food, dark chocolate, and cocktail onions! I know nothing about pop culture or sports and most people I meet think that’s weird.
I hope you had a nice holiday and have some things to look forward to in 2023. Thank you for supporting my business and attending my classes. I look forward to seeing each of you in class soon!

“Rudolph and Friends” juuust might be my favorite class of all time.
I want a pet yeti now and a cool pair of striped glasses and sparkly red ear muffs 🤩
This class is sure to be a holiday hit! We’ll do lots of royal icing techniques and even some hand painting.
Class is December 16th at 6:15 at The Creative Space in Midtown Sacramento.
Fully stocked kits are available to pick up the 15th & 16th in Elk Grove (specific times TBD).
This class is on sale now through Sunday night so grab your spot!
