🐢🌿 A little bit of pond life magic today… 🌿🐢

One of the best parts of raising kids here is getting to slow down and experience the little moments nature gives us. Today the kids got a front row seat to something pretty special... watching a turtle come up from the pond, dig a nest, lay her eggs, and carefully cover them back up before heading home. 💚

No books, no videos, no classroom can quite compare to standing there quietly watching nature happen right in front of you.

These are the moments we hope they remember — the muddy shoes, the questions, the excitement, and the appreciation for all the little creatures that share this world with us. 🌱

Homesteading isn’t just about growing food… it’s about growing curiosity, respect, and a love for the land. 🐢✨

One of my favorite things about raising quail is that no two eggs are exactly alike! From soft blue-green shells to bold speckles and dramatic splashes of color, every egg is a tiny work of art straight from nature. 🌿

I love seeing the incredible variety our little quail girls produce every day. It's one of the many reasons quail eggs are such a conversation starter at the stand and farmers markets!

We had a wonderful time meeting everyone and sharing our homemade goods. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, chatted with us, purchased something, or simply offered words of encouragement.

We brought homemade breads, baked goods, jams and jellies, fresh quail eggs, and 3D prints. We're excited to keep growing from here!

We went to Local Roots Greenhouse 170 Lenox ave Horseheads and picked up some plants for the birds. Needless to say they are beyond happy
