More rooms (kitchen, living room, & hallway), of this delaminated textured ceiling peeling.
( about 20 seconds in the video there's a bit of satisfying video of scraping off the texture).
This older texture was peeling due to improper preparation. Ceiling was not primed, but painted with regular ceiling paint, and then textured over. The paint delaminated from the drywall causing the peeling. Only where the paint absorbed into the spackle, was not loose. Was too hard to sand off with a drywall sander, because of the aggregate used in the texture, and was more of a cement base mix than spackle. Not even 40 grit sandpaper had much effect. Had to be scraped by hand.
