Good Morning Friends. Last night’s storm was a rough one, and my heart goes out to everyone waking up to damage, cleanup, and the stress that comes after nights like that. Living in small towns means we all feel it when our neighbors are going through a hard time.
If the storm damaged any of your window screens, patio screens, or windows, please know I’m here to help however I can. Bring them in, and I’ll work hard to get them repaired and back to you as quickly as possible.
Take care of yourselves, check in on your neighbors, and hopefully, we all get a little sunshine and calmer days ahead soon.

Calling all last-minute Mother’s Day gift shoppers.
I will be here tomorrow from 9–12 with lots of handmade stained glass gifts ready to go home with you!
These adorable mushroom suncatchers are hot off my desk and hanging in my window for sale. You can’t see it in the picture, but they are both made with iridescent glass.
I’ve also been working on 4 brand new suncatchers that will be finished and ready tomorrow, just in time for Mother’s Day. Each piece is handmade, unique, and made to last a lifetime.
Show your mom, grandma, aunt, sister, or someone special just how much you appreciate them with a gift made from the heart.

Do you ever wonder what this glass lady gives her own mom for Mother’s Day?
Of course… I make her something out of glass!
The last time I was at her house, I looked around and thought, “Wow… she has a LOT of suncatchers and stained glass pieces. Does she really need more?”
So this year, I decided to think outside the box…
I made her a dichroic glass hummingbird
And yes—you’re seeing that right… it actually changes color depending on the light. How amazing is that?!
Dichroic glass is created by bonding metallic oxide coatings to glass in a vacuum chamber, which gives it that beautiful, shifting shimmer you just can’t take your eyes off of.
Don’t worry—I’m not spoiling her surprise. I’m pretty sure Mom already knows she’s getting one for Mother’s Day. 😂
When I finished the first one, I sent her a video and told her I was keeping it for myself. Her response?
“Don’t be surprised if it disappears the next time I come to visit.”
That was my cue… Mom needed her own for Mother’s Day.
(Hers went out in the mail yesterday!)
I do have this ONE available for sale, and if there’s enough interest, I’d absolutely love to make more in the future.

Mother’s Day will be here before we know it

It’s one of those holidays that always sneaks up on us, and somehow, it never feels like there’s a gift quite special enough for the women who’ve given us so much. Moms, grandmas, sisters, aunts… the ones who show up, hold us together, and love us through everything.

🌷 Hello, Fresh Air!

Now that the warmer weather is finally rolling in, it’s the perfect time to think about those window screens again!

Just a quick reminder (in case it’s slipped your mind!) — I do screen repair here at the shop. If your screens are torn, sagging, faded or just not doing their job anymore, now is a great time to bring them in and get them refreshed and ready for the season.

You’ll be surprised how nice they look when they’re repaired - tight, clean, and practically like new again. It really makes a difference when everything looks crisp and put back together the way it should be.
Drop them off anytime, and I will get them fixed up for you!

No glass will be glowing, no solder will shine,
I’ll be off for Easter — just a short little time.

But don’t you worry, it won’t be long,

Good afternoon, Glass Shop Friends!
I realized I forgot to share these with you — they’ve been hanging out in the shop, just waiting to find their forever homes.

There’s something about a peace sign that never goes out of style — a simple symbol that will always carry so much meaning. A reminder to slow down, be kind, and lead with love.

Both are handmade, piece by piece, right here in the shop… made to hang in your window and remind you (and anyone passing by) that a little peace and love still goes a long way.

Just a little end-of-the-season reminder for those of you who have Lee’s annual suncatchers. ☘️
Before you tuck them away for the year, feel free to bring them into the shop and I’ll take a look at them. I can check all the solder joints, make sure everything is still structurally sound, and catch any little issues before they turn into bigger ones.

If yours are still hanging with fishing line, I would definitely recommend having me switch them over to a chain—it’s much stronger and will help your piece last for many more years.

I’m also happy to give them a good cleaning and polish while they’re here. Sometimes they just need a little spa day to keep them shining bright. ✨

These pieces were made to last and to be enjoyed for generations, and a little care now goes a long way in making sure they continue to bring you joy year after year.
