Owned & Operated by Jim Slaton, North County Fireplace Services has been serving the residents of San Diego County for over 40 years! He started in his father’s retail fireplace store in Orange County and after finishing college, took over for 8 years. In 1977 Jim returned to San Diego with his wife where they both had attended San Diego State. He then became a manufacturer’s representative for a

large factory-built fireplace and gas log company. After several years he began installing repairing and cleaning fireplaces. Jim has cleaned thousands of chimneys and repaired hundreds of fireplaces. Because of his extensive knowledge and experience in the fireplace industry, he has been hired several times as an expert witness in law cases pertaining to the installation of factory-built fireplaces. Jim is known for his honesty and high level of customer service as he truly keeps his clients best interest in mind, and he does all his own work. He also works extensively with realtors on inspections and inspection reports for homes and home sales. Fireplace Services is fully insured and offers free phone estimates.
