A closer look at the Gilded Primary Suite.

This project was designed to feel like one continuous experience from the moment you step in. Every zone connects to the next and the material story never stops moving through the space.

The wet zone is fully wrapped in marble-look porcelain, floor to ceiling and continuous through the tub surround and into the shower. A black soaking tub sits tucked into its platform with brass fixtures against the stone. The walk-in shower opens beside it with a bench, a lit gold niche, and frameless glass keeping the volume open.

From there the room moves into the vanity, warm oak cabinetry and black stone with gilded raffia wallpaper panels framing each mirror. The Venetian mirror was one of those finds that felt made for the space the moment we saw it.

And then the closet. A full custom build with dedicated shoe storage, open shelving, hanging space, and a built-in desk nook tucked under the window with that same gold-streaked wallpaper carrying through from the bathroom. The brass hardware ties it all together.

One suite. One material story. Designed all the way through in partnership with Arbor South Architecture.

The full reveal is here.

This primary bathroom has been such a joy to share this week, and I wanted to give you a closer look at what makes it feel the way it does.

Two wallcoverings live in this space. The lighter one, a metallic gold-streaked paper, wraps the main walls and brings in warmth and movement carrying to the bedroom. The darker gilded raffia panels frame each vanity and anchor the brass fixtures against them. It is the kind of layering that you might not notice right away but that you definitely feel.

A primary bathroom should feel like somewhere you actually want to be in the morning, not just pass through. That little chair gives you a space to do so at the full-glam lowered makeup counter.

This project was a full collaboration with Arbor South Architecture. Every decision, from the floor plan to the finish on the faucet, was made with care.

The details that make you stop.

Gold raffia wallpaper. Brushed brass. Rift cut white oak. A striking stone countertop. This one is almost ready to share and I cannot wait.

It’s National Small Business week and Andy Lane Interiors is celebrating by wrapping up seasoned projects and starting up new vision boards for schematic floor plans.

Nearly two years of running, operating, dreaming and scheming about design, work and what is yet to come. Small businesses are more about the people behind them and I believe the same is true for beautiful spaces that support and nurture the people within them.

Some spaces just need a little coaxing. Others need a full-on resurrection. Either way, I’ve already got the vision.

Year-end appreciation for the vendors who made 2024 projects shine.

Thank you to -

The local showrooms who let me browse for hours
The custom furniture makers who bring sketches to life
The architects & designers who create beautiful environments that leap off the page
The contractors who notice the details and bring the vision to life
The cabinet makers who marry function and aesthetics seamlessly
The tile installers who capture the exact vision
The upholsterers with impeccable craftsmanship
And finally... the vendors who respond to "quick question!" emails with grace

Your craftsmanship, responsiveness, and genuine care for quality don't go unnoticed. Here's to more beautiful projects together in 2025!

A mini spotlight for the laundry. This little corner was lacking personality when we first started the project, and wasn’t an inspiring spot for a weekly routine.

Here I added a fir wood butcher block countertop to look like it had always been in the house, and incorporated a new curtain skirt to conceal the laundry machines when not in use. With an opportunity to be more playful here I included a floral pattern that ties in with the overall green accent.

P.S. The clients call their home the little mushroom, so one weekend when I found these molded candles I just knew they would find their place inside.
