Yesterday I planted a beautiful new Korean Dogwood for my friend and client Molly Killien Blakey and her family. This is a 'Milky Way' cultivar, known for full bushy growth and large white flowers that cover the tree in late Spring. To make room for the new tree I transplanted some of the existing plants, creating a bed with more space for everyone. Planting a tree is a real investment in your home and community, plus it can grow up alongside your family. While the fall planting season is starting to close it's a great time to start planning for Spring so send me a message today to start planning for your new tree!

Last week I completed my first solo Design/Install for one of my clients. What started as a w**d covered dirt slope has been transformed into a rocky hillside of drought-tolerant native plants. Plants like Sword Fern, Kinnikinnick, and Mahonia aren't just tough plants that tolerate different light conditions but they're also handsome and woodsy, perfect for any Seattle landscape. To keep the budget down we kept most of the Japanese Spurge as a serviceable ground cover that works with the Northwest Native theme. Add in some Evergreen Huckleberry to cover the under-deck gaps and you've got a garden that's both functional and attractive!
