Shop Welder/Fabricator

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Shop Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating gates and other custom metalwork in our shop. This role requires experience in MIG welding, reading plans, following work order instructions, and working with both raw and galvanized steel.

Key Responsibilities:
· Fabricate gates and other custom metal pieces from raw materials.
· Perform MIG welding and occasional Stick welding as required.
· Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders accurately.
· Operate fabrication equipment including pipe cutters, saws, shears, presses, grinders, etc.
· Measure, cut, and fit metal components to tight tolerances.
· Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards; perform inspections and rework if needed.
· Maintain tools and equipment in clean and working condition.
· Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
· Collaborate with shop team and occasionally assist with field installations if necessary.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED
· Valid Driver’s License
· Minimum 2 years of welding/fabrication experience (preferably in a fencing or structural steel environment).
· Proficient in MIG welding; Stick experience a plus.
· Skilled in using measuring tools and hand/power tools.
· Familiar with OSHA safety standards and shop best practices.
· Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for long periods.
· Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.

Preferred Skills:
· Forklift certification
· Basic knowledge of galvanizing or powder-coating prep.

Working Conditions:
· Primarily shop-based with occasional outdoor work.
· Exposure to loud noise, metal dust, and welding fumes (PPE provided).
· May involve occasional overtime or weekend work depending on project needs.

Seeking a qualified Fence Crew Foreman for commercial and industrial fence installations. The following will be required:

-Minimum 3 years experience running a crew in commercial/industrial construction settings with the ability to complete all phases of the installation process.

-Must have experience working with chainlink, ornamental iron, wood, vinyl and various other material types

-Must be able read plans/drawings

-Must have good communication skills

-Flexibility to travel for out-of-town work regularly and for several weeks at a time

-Work a 45-60 hour work week regularly (Overtime & per diem paid)

-Must possess a valid driver's license & have a clean driving record

-Reliable transportation to/from work

-Pay depends on experience
