Limb & Stem is a fully insured, small-scale tree service operated by two brothers who started the business in 2023 out of a shared passion for arborist work. Bryce, our lead climber, developed his expertise working full-time in Virginia’s challenging canopy—where trees are typically older, taller, and more complex. Nate, our primary ground technician, is a 17-year active-duty service member with a
background in advanced rope work gained through military training and civilian rescue certifications. WHAT WE DO
We focus on affordable tree care for residential customers. Our specialty is pruning and trimming for tree health, property safety, and aesthetics, along with selective removal of hazardous or unwanted limbs. While we occasionally take on full removals, these are considered on a case-by-case basis depending on size, scope, and logistics. WHAT SETS US APART
We don’t rely on heavy machinery or large crews. Our approach is rope-based and technique-driven, which offers several customer benefits:

This isn’t our full-time job, and we don’t pretend it is. We typically work weekends and occasionally evenings, depending on availability. Safety is non-negotiable. Tree work is physically demanding and mentally intense, and we plan our jobs carefully to ensure we operate at our best, with full focus and energy. WE MIGHT NOT BE THE RIGHT FIT IF:
