What a beautiful evening last night here on the farm. Thankfully no plants were harmed with the crazy wind that came through for about 10 minutes ♥️

Just a quick tip on harvesting lettuce and leafy greens. This is what has always worked best for me…

1) Harvest in the morning before the heat of the day to avoid bitter lettuce.
2) Rinse in cold water and let sit in an ice water bath for 10-20 minutes.
3) Pat dry or put in a salad spinner if you have one
4) Place in a plastic baggie with a paper towel
5) Easily good for 5 days stored in your refrigerator
6) Enjoy! Store bought will never taste the same again 🥬

Also, lettuce can be planted every couple of weeks so that you ensure a longer harvest throughout the summer. Lettuce does not love hot heat, so it helps to plant in a cooler/shade area or cover with these cute little umbrellas, I have them in the gift shop lol 🥰

Who is ready for the famous Dill-iscious potato salad? Orders can be placed and ready for pickup Friday and Saturday from 10-7!
For non-pickle lovers, I can accommodate a no pickle request. $8 a pint, $14 a quart.

Ingredients: Organic red potatoes, Farm-raised eggs, Bacon, Dill pickles, Real-Mayo, Yellow Mustard, Fresh Dill, Organic lemon juice, Garlic Salt and Pepper.
