Skip and I planted the last 15 eggplant seedlings at the farm today! We have these plants left to share, they are Black Beauty, and Turkish Orange Eggplant seedlings we started indoors in March. They can use a stake for support, they do best in a raised bed, in the ground, or in a 7 gallon container with daily water.

The annual Spring Lake Wooden Boat Show is this Saturday June 6th at Mill Point Park in Spring Lake. Wooden boats are truly works of art and craftsmanship, much of the Mahogany from the 50’s and 60’s was old growth trees that are simply gone now, and now we see other species of Mahogany taking their place like Sapele, which still has the classic “Ribbon” mahogany grain that reflects light as the sun hits it. We are very excited to see this new maker’s space at the Loutit Library in Grand Haven! If you live in Ferrysburg you are in the Loutit Library District. The laser engraving, and circuit cutting offer a lot of options for creative ideas!

Loutit District Library is set to launch a highly anticipated, brand-new makerspace designed to bring hands-on, do-it-yourself innovation directly to the public.

More of our heirloom tomatoes we started, we will have peppers out tomorrow, and eggplant later in the week! There’s also Dutch Irises and one Day Lilly. The unmarked tomatoes are most likely our most popular tomato the bicolor red and yellow West Virginia Heirloom “Hillbilly Tomato”. Please send us a message for our address, we are located in Ferrysburg near Smith’s Bridge. Please park in the driveway, not on the street.

Our friend’s farm is selling tomato plants, and is offering Beagleman’s Patio Patrons 2 for the price of 1 tomato plants, that’s just $1 per plant! They are offering to meet at Leppinks for people to pick up plants. Please message Eureka Farm & Field directly to set up a pick up time!

We will slowly be putting out extra Tomato starts today. We will not be able to hold plants, so please be patient, and mindful of availability to others.

Today we will have some Mushroom Basket, Black Cherry, and some mystery tomatoes that got lost in the labeling process 😀.

Our stand hours are 10am - 8pm please park in the driveway, not on the street.
